The Online Distance Learning
Adult Education Class
A distance learning class has been created to help you improve your
math, reading, and language skills and prepare for the GED while working from your home. Before
you start, please make sure this is the right class for you by answering
the following questions:
- Are you not able to attend an adult education class in your
county? Attending a class or working directly with a tutor is the
best way to learn. If you want to find out about literacy services
in your county,
then click the name of your county. You will then see links to the literacy
service providers in your county. Call or e-mail them to find out
about services available for you.
- Is there someone who can help you with your class?
We strongly urge you to seek the help of a family member, neighbor, or
friend. Your helper should not help you with quizzes or tests, of
course, but he or she should help you understand your lessons.
- Do you have the time necessary to take this class? You will
be expected to work on your lessons at least six hours a week. You
will need to make the time for this class. Notice we did not say
that you need to find the time; you will have to make
the time.
- Do you have the desire to be successful? No one can wish you
success. You have to want it for yourself and do the things that
will make it happen.
If your answers to the above questions are all "Yes," you are ready
to begin!
