Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 
Services Provided: Leon County Schools offers specialized educational services for infants, children, and adults with exceptional needs. Families of infants and very young children may be provided with the services of a parent-infant teacher to assist parents in meeting the needs of the child. Pre-school children receive developmentally appropriate educational programs. School-aged children and adults receive instruction and related services based on the individual needs of the students. 

Exceptional needs as defined by the State of Florida are: autistic, deaf/hard of hearing, developmentally delayed (pre-K), dual sensory impaired (deaf-blind), emotionally handicapped, gifted, homebound or hospitalized, mentally handicapped, physically impaired, specific learning disabilities, speech or language impaired, and visually impaired.

Who Can Benefit: Persons determined to have an exceptional education need are eligible. Evaluation is conducted by a diagnostic team.
